Imaginal Literacy

Imaginal Literacy

Most of us are writers in some genre, even if its just writing emails. All of us are communicators using language to inform, to humour, to stir support, to connect and share our thoughts. It makes a difference if our thoughts clothe themselves in dry rags or rich tapestries.

Imaginal Literacy is the art of clothing thoughts in the most appropriate garments. If the thoughts arrive dressed as pictures, their impact is immediate. Thought pictures, or metaphors, speak to the mind and touch the emotions at the same time. Good metaphors are the tools for powerful communication. The Imaginal Literacy Course is for creative non-fiction writers, bloggers, memoir writers, poets, editors of newsletters, speakers, prose writers, heads of communication sections and anyone with a desire to develop skills in metaphor rich writing.
