Do something fun with your holidays and come along to the Mattie Furphy House from OCTOBER, 2012 for a series of fun and fantastic writing workshops. Taught by  brilliant Perth writers Kevin Price and Jacinta Rosielle, our workshops teach you how to write a great story from the ground up, starting with the basics and covering character, plot, place, and how to put them all together.

 

 

Over five days you will learn:

 

 Day One -

10am—4pm Poetic tales with Jacinta Rosielle

 

Day Two-

10am—4pm What is a story? The fundamentals – All about character design, creating characters How to find and evaluate your story ideas with Kevin Price

 

Day Three-

10am– 4pm Character orchestration getting characters to play together The crucible, what bonds characters to the story Creating the story world, location, place, setting and circumstance with Kevin Price

 

Day Four-

10am-4pm Conflict: the forces of antagonism Pulling the story elements together
Structure: All about genre and plot Creating the step sheet with Kevin Price

 

Day Five-
